The Nurses Perception of Patient Safety and End-of-Shift Report
Abstract
The purpose of this research study was to explore the bedside nurse's perception of end- of-shift report. Nurse's overall perception of bedside report as it relates to patient safety and communication between peers and colleagues gives great insight to the purpose itself. A qualitative study was performed to give vision of the nurse's perception of such end-of-shift report. Six nurses were utilized and interviewed as part of this study and their perception is the results of this study.
