Reflections was the third literary journal published by Gardner-Webb University from 1973 - 2001. The 1973 issue states that name change from One Little Candle to Reflections was to reflect the “mind of a creative writer must have [a] certain quality that lends itself to mediation, musing, deliberation, and pondering.” Issues include a variety of poetry, prose, photography, and art from student, faculty, and community contributors. Some issues include works that won a contest sponsored by the English Department at Gardner-Webb University.
In 2002, Reflections was re-branded as The Broad River Review.
