Gardner-Webb University’s core academic requirements, which provide students with a foundational knowledge for leadership and service, recently received recognition from the James G. Martin Center for Academic Renewal. The center, which is a nonprofit institute dedicated to improving higher education in North Carolina and the nation, praised Gardner-Webb for being the only school in North Carolina to earn an “A” on the annual “What Will They Learn?®” study by the American Council of Trustees and Alumni (ACTA).
