Description

The 1903 meeting of the Kings Mountain Baptist Association took place at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Shelby, NC. The introductory sermon was delivered by R.F. Tredway. The Association proposes to erect a monument in memory of C. Durham. The Committee on State Missions reported that the growth of industrialized towns and railroads has led to an increased need for gospel mission support. In an effort to gain more subscribers, the Association recommends a fixed monthly date for the new association newsletter, The Baptist.
