Description
The 1904 meeting of the Kings Mountain Baptist Association took place at Zoar Baptist Church in Cleveland County, NC. The introductory sermon was delivered by D.F. Putnam. The Committee on Baptist Orphanage reported a typhoid fever outbreak effecting thirty children at the Orphanage. The Association reported that there is a pending bill in Congress called the Hepburn-Dolliver Bill that will prevent the shipment of liquor to Prohibition states from non-Prohibition states. The Association resolved to not use public school funding to establish a new denominational high school.
