Description
The 1929 meeting of the Kings Mountain Baptist Association took place at Boiling Springs Baptist Church in Boiling Springs, NC. The introductory sermon was delivered by C. J. Black. The report on State Missions recommends that pastors renew efforts to gain support for the State Missions, and that the Association should encourage its members to subscribe to the Biblical Recorder to stay informed. The Foreign Missions report indicated that missionary work in China, Latin America, Nigeria, and Europe has made progress. The Baptist Hospital reports recommends a Mother's Day offering contributions to help support the hospital's charity work. the Committee on Temperence put a seal of disapproval on dancing and other leisure activities on Sundays. The Committee on Obituaries reports the passing of W.F. Gold.
