Description
The 1932 meeting of the Kings Mountain Baptist Association took place at New Bethel Baptist Church in Lawndale, NC. The introductory sermon was delivered by D. F. Putnam. The Foreign Mission Board reported that there are more baptisms abroad than there were church members twenty-five years ago. The Southern Baptist Convention asked the Baptists of the South to raise money to help with Foreign Mission Board expenses. The Report on Christian Education indicated that Boiling Springs Junior College has met all of the Standard Association of Southern Colleges and Secondary Schools' requirements except for the income requirement. The Association Historian's Report was read by C.J. Black. A motion to create a memorial tribute to the late J.D. Huggins was carried by J.L. Jenkins and J.H. Quinn.
