Description
The 1964 meeting of the Kings Mountain Baptist Association took place at Waco Baptist Church in Cherryville, NC. Dr. Zeno Wall and Dr. W. Wyan Washburn were recognized for their service in the Kings Mountain Baptist Association. A tribute was paid to the late Rev. Charles Earl Oxford. In the Visual Aid report, it was disclosed that a new program service called Church Audio Visual Education plan was added to help obtain films and equipment at reduced prices. The Home Mission report announced an increase in Southern Baptist Churches in Chicago. Gardner-Webb College reported that 71% of its students were Baptist affiliated. The also recognized the sad loss of I.A. McLain. It was proposed in the Homes for the Aging report that a 5th home in Yanceyville, North Carolina be constructed.
