Abstract
The purpose of the DNP project was to assist students to recognize, reduce, and manage their stress. The mindfulness meditation interventions are an effective strategy to manage and reduce stress. The project was set in a southeastern part of the United States at a community college that had an associate degree nursing program. At present, nursing education does not include stress and the management of stress in the curriculum. The project targeted associate degree nursing students to teach students how stress influences their lives and evidence-based strategies to alleviate their stress in clinical practice and in future practice through education and practice of mindfulness meditation interventions.
