Description

The Web Magazine focuses on alumni news and campus events from Gardner-Webb College; now Gardner-Webb University. In this issue we learned that Gardner-Webb's campus was devastated by a tornado.The N.C. Baptist Men helped in providing relief for the area, bringing in cafeteria workers and meals to victims. Lake Hollifield was officially dedicated, with 300 in attendance for the special occasion. Dr. Keith Griggs was named the new MBA director, and Barry Hambright was named the Fleming-White Award Winner. The newly featured recruiting video had a "fresh" approach to bring in new students. Football standout Gabe Wilkins was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the fourth round of the NFL draft of that year.
