Description
The Gardner-Webb University School of Education recently received accreditation for its educator-licensing programs under the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) standards. NCATE’s performance-based accreditation system for teacher preparation ensures that teacher candidates are prepared to make a difference in pre-kindergarten through twelfth-grade (P-12) student learning environments. “A rigorous, comprehensive assessment process aligned with national standards confirms that we are preparing our students for excellence in improving P-12 student achievement in our community and throughout North Carolina,” reported Dr. Jeff Hamilton, director of assessment for the Gardner-Webb University School of Education.
