Abstract
This is Dr. Mitch Porter, and I have officially taken over as the Editor for the Journal of Organizational and Educational Leadership. Dr. Jim Palermo has retired from the journal and has entrusted me to pave the way for an even bigger and better journal. My expertise is in Educational Research, Psychology, and Psychometrics. My research focus includes scale assessment and non- cognitive skills such as grit and motivation.
As a new faculty at Gardner-Webb University, I am excited to take on this responsibility and develop new strategies for strengthening JOEL. I hope that my knowledge in methodologies and assessment can open up new pathways and possibilities for they types of article submissions we’ve been getting. As an Executive Member if North Carolina Professors of Educational Leadership, I plan to build a strong network with my peers to take JOEL to new heights.
