Description
The 1956 meeting of the Kings Mountain Baptist Association took place at Sandy Plains Baptist Church in Shelby, NC, Polkville Baptist Church in Polkville, NC, and Shelby Eastside Baptist Church in Shelby, NC. The missionary sermon was given by Oscar Funderburke. The report on the Baptist Student Union provided important information about the union as well as ways one could help support it. A report on the Royal Ambassadors program discussed restarting it within the church to encourage missionary efforts in young boys. A report on the Royal Ambassadors camp was also given. In the Visual Aid report, there was a push to obtain items like film, chalk boards and maps for every room in the church.
