The poem "A Visit from St. Nicholas" by Clement Moore has changed the perspective of St. Nicholas and Christmas. Through the analysis of the original St. Nicholas' historic background, a character comparison of the old and new St. Nicholas, and the poem, one will see how this new fantastical St. Nicholas feels more real vs. mythical and Christmas feels more magical.
