Description
A mission team from Gardner-Webb University discovered during their summer trip that it’s possible to make a difference in the lives of others without going abroad. Two faculty leaders and five students offered a “God’s Love in a Diaper Bag (https://www.kybaptist.org/church-missions/gods-love-from-a-diaper-bag/)” baby shower and new parent/young child education seminar for 30 low-income families in Jenkins, Ky. This rural area in southeastern Kentucky is in socioeconomic distress after the closure of its coal mines, compounded by a flood that hit in the summer of 2022.
