Description

The Web Magazine focuses on alumni news and campus events from Gardner-Webb College that is now Gardner-Webb University; however, this issue is a special edition. Titled the "Inaugural Edition", it does not feature alumni news. Rather, it looks back on the events of the inauguration of Gardner-Webb College President Christopher White. Copies of the speeches of all the speakers are featured. Those who spoke ranged from Gardner-Webb faculty to preachers from local churches to other college presidents. Photos are provided to capture the day's festivities and commemorate the historic event. President Ronald Reagan wrote a letter to President White congratulating him and a copy of it was printed in this issue. The Inaugural Edition concludes with photos of several newspapers that wrote on President White's inauguration.
