The fair is hosted by the Career Consortium of Metrolina Colleges, a non-profit organization made-up of Gardner-Webb and other local small schools, including Wingate University and Belmont-Abbey College.

Student Alumni Association Revamped To Become More Effective

In the fall of 2015, the Student Alumni Association (SAA) decided to remove their organization from the registry of student clubs. This decision was made after noticing a decline in engagement from alumni and current students. The SAA came to the conclusion that they needed to work to renew both its presence on campus and its effectiveness for both current students and alumni.

Students Take Charge To Lead Worship Service Jan. 24 In Spite Of Weather

A winter storm hit NC hard the weekend of Jan. 22-24. As snow covered the ground, along came the dangers of ice-covered roads and walkways. This led to many churches cancelling services on Sunday, Jan. 24. Rather than sleeping in, two groups of GWU students decided to plan their own worship service to be held in the Dover Chapel.

Major Review: Psychology

A wide range of future careers are opened up to prospective students who major in psychology at Gardner-Webb. They can one day could become a psychiatrist, a counselor or a crime scene investigator. In the department of psychology and counseling, located in the Elliot building, there are classes that range from learning about major mental disorders, to learning about how psychology interacts with religion.

Release The Captives Holds Prayer For Human Trafficking Victims On Super Bowl Sunday

On Sunday, Feb. 7, millions of people will join in to watch Super Bowl 50, where the Carolina Panthers will face the Denver Broncos. While some people will be loading up on wings and pizza before kick-off, a group of Gardner-Webb students, led by Release the Captives club, will be gathering in the Tucker Student Center to pray for the victims of human trafficking.

Sophomore Voice Student Has Chance To Compete At National Level

Gardner-Webb sophomore Julia DeSerio tied for first in a regional singing competition that included singers from Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and D.C. She will move forward with a chance to compete on the national level with singers from all over the country.
