Student Activities Sponsor Free Event at the Big E

This Friday from 10:30 p.m. to 2:30 a.m., Gardner Webb students can bowl and watch movies for free at The Big E. The Big E is an entertainment outlet behind the Prime Outlets of Gaffney in Gaffney, S.C.

Taking Advantage of Studying Abroad

The university has activities and events, besides whitewater rafting at the U.S. National Whitewater Center in Charlotte, N.C. or Pancake Bingo; that can truly enrich the lives of college students; an example of such is studying abroad.

Nine Activities to do in Shelby

When questioning social activities in Shelby, N.C., Derek Soots, a sophomore at Gardner-Webb said, “What activity is there? There is a mall and Cookout.” This is a common response among the students at Gardner-Webb; not many students see Shelby as a hotspot to socialize with friends on the weekend. Many students stay on campus or go to Gaffney and Charlotte.

Gardner-Webb Theatre Department Presents Tartuffe

The Gardner-Webb Theatre Department is set to open it’s first show of the season. Tartuffe, a neo-classical French comedy, is set to open next Wednesday, October 8.

Relay for Life was a glowing success as the Gardner-Webb Community came together on Saturday night. Due to the chance of inclement weather, the venue was changed from Spangler Football Stadium to the Lutz-Yelton Convocation Center.
