Runnin' Bulldogs Move Forward

After a disappointing loss in their home opener to Elon, the Runnin’ Bulldogs will look to get things going early offensively against Virginia Union this Saturday in Boiling Springs.The football team will have to do so without starting quarterback Tyrell Maxwell who suffered a concussion during overtime on Saturday. According to Coach Carroll McCray they will go with a two-quarterback system, freshmen Brody Rollins and (RS) sophomore Chase Arrington.

GWU Alumna's Olympic Dream is Within Reach

A year ago, Kristen Hurley, a 2014 Gardner-Webb alumna, told GWU-Today about her Olympic dream of making the USA Bobsled team. She is currently competing in the last stage of tryouts, the National Team Trials. Oct. 17 marks the first day of a seven day-long competition for a spot on the 2018 Olympic team.

Change is inevitable. That’s seen clearly through Gardner-Webb’s shift from a physical student newspaper, The Pilot, to an online-only publication five years ago. It’s seen clearly through the new batch of student journalists, photographers and videographers who volunteer, contribute or sign up for the one credit course each semester. They bring in new ideas, interests and new perspectives to the table, and these aspects always change the style of GWU-Today, for better or for worse.

Source of the Borad River Dead Fish Remains Unidentified

Certified Internship Program Comes to Gardner-Webb

Gardner-Webb students will soon have the chance to gain internship experience through a university-sponsored organization. The Center for Career Development is providing the Certified Internship Program to help students apply for and earn internships, as well as assist them throughout their internship period and prepare them for their future careers.

GWU Honors Leads Enchanted Forest, Continues Tradition of Community Service

The Broad River Greenway came to life this weekend with the annual event of Enchanted Forest. Students from Gardner-Webb dressed up as animals common to the area in order to teach children about local wildlife.
