The Web Magazine focuses on alumni news and campus events from Gardner-Webb College; now Gardner-Webb University. This issue provides a schedule for homecoming as well as a short segment about the Special Olympics of '88. Gardner-Webb alumnus Bruce Bowers is featured for his accomplishments in journalism, the Parents' Association's work in setting up student funding is praised, and the new Honors program is announced. The Webb mentions several speakers who came to Gardner-Webb, including Wilma Dykeman, Rev. E. Leon Smith, and Kent Plemmons. Alumnus Ron Rash is also recognized in this issue for being a successful writer; Rash's work was featured in "some of America's most prestigious literary magazines". A few pages provide updates on the faculty/staff of GWC, followed by information concerning the numerous financial gifts GWC had received, and sports updates.

The Web Magazine focuses on alumni news and campus events from Gardner-Webb College; now Gardner-Webb University. UNC Chapel Hill standout Derrick Fenner chose to continue his athletic and academic career with the Runnin' Bulldogs after some legal troubles. The concert choir of the university toured New York at Carnegie Hall, and then some parts in Europe. Over three million dollars had been raised for the capital campaign. The Heritage club inducted new members in May. Summer commencement was held in August with two hundred and eight students graduating. Mr. E. Jerome Scott became the new Assistant Dean of Special Studies, and Robin Taylor became the Director of Public Information.

The Web Magazine focuses on alumni news and campus events from Gardner-Webb College; now Gardner-Webb University. Local high school students attended a symposium entitled "Current Issues and Trends in Business." The Rock Crusaders, Degarmo and Key, came to perform at Gardner Webb. The campus Opera theatre program performed a piece composed by Mozart, translated in English as "The School for Lovers". Rita Noel also came to perform at Gardner-Webb. The Craven E. Williams observatory was significantly underwater. Golf Day was a huge success. Dr. Henry L. Smith was named alumnus of the year.

The Web Magazine focuses on alumni news and campus events from Gardner-Webb College; now Gardner-Webb University. Dr. Lonnie Proctor received the Jefferson Award. Ralph "Scoot" Dixon was appointed the new vice president for college relations. The college began to offer the GOAL program, designed to fit the lifestyles of working adults. There were many Charles I. Dover Scholarships awarded.

The Web Magazine focuses on alumni news and campus events from Gardner-Webb College; now Gardner-Webb University. This issue marks a "revamping of the magazine". Charlotte Hornets owner George Shinn came and spoke to attendees at the "Images of Success" banquet. North Carolina representative to the house, Dan Blue Jr., came and spoke on campus to observe Martin Luther King Day. Herman Best spearheaded a campaign for the Christian Service Office's campaign to raise a million dollars. Grace Hamrick released a book entitled "Miss Bess".

The Web Magazine focuses on alumni news and campus events from Gardner-Webb College; now Gardner-Webb University. This issue commemorates the passing of esteemed Gardner-Webb friend, Mr. Charles I. Dover. Mr. Dover was instrumental in the inner workings and expansion of Gardner-Webb as a whole. Mr. Bob Decker retired after conducting his final orchestra.

The Web Magazine focuses on alumni news and campus events from Gardner-Webb College; now Gardner-Webb University. This issues honors the completion of the Craven E. Williams Observatory. The school also purchased IBM equipment during this time. Gardner-Webb also participated in a book exchange with students in Russia. Lowe's Foundation contributed to the students in an undisclosed gift amount.

The Web Magazine focuses on alumni news and campus events from Gardner-Webb College; now Gardner-Webb University. There were 11 new members added to the Board of Trustees. Dover Campus Center, i.e. "the Caf", received a total makeover. There was a new Residence Life director named. Gardner Webb was slated to host a "Concert of Prayer". This issue also announced the founding of the Athletic Hall of Fame, for Gardner-Webb.

Noel Hall was slated to be constructed, it was expected to be the "Postcard" site of campus. The college also welcomed international students. The Broyhill Academy sponsored Ms. Janet Sue Rush, to come and speak on campus.

This issue heavily highlighted the Fine Arts, with write ups about theatre, opera, and instrumental music. This issue also spoke heavily about the influx of endowed scholarships. Ms. Frieda Lawrence, senior on the basketball team, broke lots of school records.

There was also a new option for obtaining a Master's Degree in Christian Ministry. Some GWC students had the opportunity to participate in mission trips to Bolivia. This issue also announced new scholarship winners, as well as, announced that the CSO had met its goal.

Mr. Lansford Jolley was set to record the history of the college. Mr.Curtis Barbery was presented a Honorary Doctor of Divinity Degree. This issue also heavily highlights all of the donations made to the school, and what they were used for.

This issue announces that Gardner-Webb College will officially become Gardner-Webb University in 1993; other advancements in academia are also mentioned, such as the addition of several degree programs. Several scholarships/gifts are mentioned alongside updates on various sports/clubs at GWC. This issue also features a "distinguished graduates" section that recognizes students for their achievements in graduating.

This issue, once again, features scholarship winners. The new MBA program, has caused the school to reach record enrollment. The annual business Symposium was hosted again, and there were over 20 people elected to the Board of Advisors.

The Web Magazine focuses on alumni news and campus events from Gardner-Webb College; now Gardner-Webb University. When this issue begins, it memorializes Dr. Charles S. Andrews who served for 34 years on the faculty. This issue also heavily highlights the new Dean of the Business School, Mr. Jim Crawley. Homecoming was another success, and this issue features pictures from the weekend. Tracy Curry was named the new police chief, as the previous one resigned and took a job at the hospital. Some students took a trip to the Holy Land. There was also a positive outlook on both basketball teams. In tragic news, the university lost one of its on, Ms. Patty Bennett in a car accident involving four other Gardner-Webb students.

The Web Magazine focuses on alumni news and campus events from Gardner-Webb College; now Gardner-Webb University. This issue first features that Gardner-Webb opened its doors to students in Japan, desiring to travel and learn English. The university also did the same with students from Brazil. The NAFTA conference was held on the campus on January 26, 1994. There was also a Bulldog Suite named after the Abernethy family. During this same time, new trustees began their terms on the GWU Board. There was also a Banquet Hall dedicated and "memorialized" for former Campus Dietitian. Ms. Lillian Ritch. This issue also noted the multiple scholarships given throughout the years.

The Web Magazine focuses on alumni news and campus events from Gardner-Webb College; now Gardner-Webb University. In this issue we learned that Gardner-Webb's campus was devastated by a tornado.The N.C. Baptist Men helped in providing relief for the area, bringing in cafeteria workers and meals to victims. Lake Hollifield was officially dedicated, with 300 in attendance for the special occasion. Dr. Keith Griggs was named the new MBA director, and Barry Hambright was named the Fleming-White Award Winner. The newly featured recruiting video had a "fresh" approach to bring in new students. Football standout Gabe Wilkins was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the fourth round of the NFL draft of that year.

This issue highlights the new observatory, and one of the professor's visions for the observatory. Reverend H. Gordon Weekley was presented with an honorary doctorate degree. There were many various scholarships given this year. The Business School named its first Dean as a Mr. Jim Crawley. There was a new police chief name din the person of Mr. Charles D. Cochran. A new Director of Marketing was also named, Mr. John Brock.

The Web Magazine focuses on alumni news and campus events from Gardner-Webb College; now Gardner-Webb University. Mr. Melvin Lutz was featured in this issue as a "flashback" moment. Homecoming was highlighted in pictures within the issue. Gardner-Webb became the center for Cleveland County's new association that has entered, the GCCSA. Miss America, who is deaf, came and spoke to students during Dimensions. LaGena Lookabill Greene was slated to speak as an AIDS victim. The School of Divinity featured record enrollment within the new school year. Pam Scruggs was named Assistant Athletic Director. Tony Armstrong was singled out as an outstanding alumnus.
The Web Magazine served as the official magazine for alumni and friends of Gardner-Webb University from 1967 - 2008. The Web Magazine was preceded by The Gardner-Webb Quarterly, in print from 1954 - 1965. Gardner-Webb, The Magazine serves as the current official magazine, providing updates on campus life and featured spotlights on alumni.
